Funding for Special Projects

Posted

The SNPA Foundation provides ongoing support for special projects conducted by America’s Newspapers.

In addition, the Foundation considers funding requests from newspaper associations and individual newspapers that support educational opportunities for the advancement of newspaper industry leaders, the creation of sustainable business models, and technology that supports the advancement of the news eco-system.

The SNPA Foundation is especially interested in seeding projects that may start “locally,” but include the possibility of broader scaling; that strengthen newspapers’ service to their communities; or that enrich the racial diversity of professional ranks by drawing more talent into the newspaper industry.

Funding from the SNPA Foundation is available to associations that service the newspaper industry and to newspapers that are considering projects to enhance their services to the public that would serve as industry models.

APPLICATION DEADLINES: Spring funding requests are due by March 15. Fall funding requests are due by September 15. Applications are reviewed by the SNPA Foundation Board of Trustees in April and October.
